Meet John Lawson, CPA

John F. Lawson was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up in a family that owned small businesses in which he worked while attending high school and college. He is married, has three grown children, and is a member of the United Methodist Church.

John graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA in accounting and also received a Certificate in Professional Accountancy from the University of West Florida. He is a licensed CPA in the states of Florida and Georgia.

John has over 30 years of accounting experience with mostly Fortune 500 companies, and for the ten years prior to founding Lawson Accounting Group, worked as a Controller with ConAgra Foods in Georgia and Missouri where he managed a $189 million budget. His goal is to use his experience as Controller to help small businesses succeed.
